After 20+ years as an Executive Producer, I’ve learned that great production comes down to a few things: build the right team, stay curious, solve problems and always find a way to get great work made. A decent sense of humor doesn’t hurt either.
My career has given me a 360-degree view of production—from agencies and production companies to live action, VFX, design/animation, social, experiential and, increasingly, GenAI and emerging creative workflows. Along the way, I’ve built and led teams, managed clients and budgets, developed production processes and helped turn ambitious ideas into reality.
The tools and platforms keep changing. The fundamentals don’t: understand the creative, know the business, take care of your people and remain calm when someone asks if we can make it bigger, better, faster—and preferably for less.
I still love producing for the same reason I started: every project presents a new problem to solve and a new opportunity to make something great.
